As the Senior Vice President Talent, Sophia is a key business partner to President and Global CEO and other senior executives who make up the Lightspeed Research Leadership Team. Sophia’s focus is strategic management with the responsibility to drive a high performance culture worldwide by building a robust Talent infrastructure to support Lightspeed Research’s fast-growing business. She joined Lightspeed Research in 2009 as Talent Director, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

As a member of Lightspeed Research’s Board of Directors and the Global Senior Management Team, Sophia is responsible for oversight of Talent for the business and heads-up a staff of direct and indirect reports in The Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Sophia has over 13 years of people management experience and proven success within the IT software and technology, digital media, and marketing and publishing sectors. Previously, Sophia was the Group HR Director of the independently owned publishing group Seven Publishing. As a member of the Executive Board, she engaged the senior management team in a number of people-centric initiatives to raise employee motivation and engagement in order to support the business in the achievement of its long-term objectives. Prior to joining us, Sophia worked for the Human Resources Department of LBI Limited, where she was responsible for the establishment of a new “business partnering” model which allowed the HR team to support the separate business units in the achievement of their strategic goals.

Sophia started her career in the software and technology industry, where she worked for North American companies as HR Manager.

Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Law from the London Guildhall University and trained as a Barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law. Sophia is a chartered graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD).
