Job Summary:

The role is to manage and develop the Lightspeed Marcorp business in the UK market. This will include having ones own set of clients and prospects to service and also managing a local account manager who will work alongside the Account Director.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level of support to new and existing clients and generate revenue;
  • Assist in developing new business/product ideas;
  • Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and proposals;
  • Oversee Research Executive’s handling of projects at a high level to stay informed of key tasks and deadlines;
  • Work with internal Lightspeed Operations team to ensure projects get booked, executed, and completed on time and on budget;
  • Participate in project team kick-off and debriefing meetings for appropriate projects;
  • Ensure all sales reporting is conducted within agreed timeframes;
  • Working as part of an International sales/Account team and being flexible and committed to individual, team and client objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong business development and client service skills:
  • Track record for business development with new and existing clients;
  • Excellent communication skills (proposal writing and presentations);
  • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal skills along with excellent organisational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and nurture client relationships on an ongoing basis;
  • Ability to meet monthly and annual targets that are set by the business.
  • Solid market research expertise and experience:
  • Design studies to meet client needs;
  • Familiar with analytical techniques.
  • Worked in a research agency and has experience of the European market;
  • Team player & leader:
  • Work well with internal support groups to manage and guide research studies;
  • Enticed by the opportunity to help build a company and commercial operation;
  • Energy, Enthusiasm, a desire to succeed and help others to do as well;
  • Ability to work under ones own initiative and towards agreed milestones.
  • 5+ years work experience in market research field:
  • Must have proactive business development experience;
  • Predominant research experience working for a full-service agency or a research supplier;
  • Panel experience/expertise a “big plus”;
  • Internet research experience a “plus”.
  • Quality focused:
  • Represents Lightspeed Research professionally;
  • Works to ensure research process and deliverables are of highest quality and conducted within agreed timelines.
