Job Summary:

The role comprises primarily of providing consultation on best practices and scripting services to Client Operations and external clients and the management of outsourced services to ensure high quality deliverables to Lightspeed Research and coordinating with other offices in the creation of global standards and processes.

Roles / Responsibilities:

  • Provide survey scripting support using ConfirmIt (Regional)
  • Manage outsourced resources in India and Bulgaria. This includes giving technical assistance as well as capacity planning, monitoring and assessing quality of deliverables
  • Provide advice and guidance to both Client Operations and Business Development in terms of feasibility, project design and scheduling (.i.e. attending kick off calls for projects, involvement in study design at proposal stage, etc.)
  • Utilising available software packages and programming tools for the creation of tools and products to support both client and internal needs
  • Assist and advise both technical and sometimes non-technical contacts at client companies
  • Liaise with Research Technology team members in other Lightspeed offices
  • Provide data processing / analysis support utilising SPSS, SQL and other tools where necessary
  • Development towards becoming a sample expert in order to provide sampling support and consultation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Appropriate utilization of time with a focus on team contributions and work values
  • Comply with office hours, project deadlines and meeting schedules
  • Work well within departmental teams and facilitate positive work place relationships
  • Accept and support corporate work ethics including complying with policies and procedures; providing quality service; understanding business objectives; and contributing to a pleasant work environment
  • Online scripting experience (in market research – a Plus)  – ideally with software packages from ConfimIt or SPSS (mrInterview, Dimension, etc)
  • Non scripting – exposure to the following would be advantageous SQL/ HTML/PhP/JavaScript/ASP/VBA/Flash/AJAX
  • A clear understanding of data, data processing/manipulation. Experience with SPSS, SPSSmr packages as Quantum, Quanvert, Quancept, etc – a plus

Additional Qualifications:

  • An interest in online technologies and trends particularly in market research will be advantageous
  • An understanding of sampling and the sampling process would be advantageous
