Job Summary:

The Panel Recruitment Director – Head of Media Buying is responsible for all recruitment initiatives and the recruitment strategy in the EMEA region. Highly experienced in panel recruitment techniques or media buying practices, the Panel Recruitment Director invests efficiently the recruitment budget in the Lightspeed Research market research panels. Aware of new trends and well connected within the online marketing world, the Panel Recruitment Director helps the company investing in new opportunities and planning future strategies. Working closely with other Senior managers within the Panel Operations team, the Panel Recruitment Director actively participates in the Panel Operations team leadership and shares his/her panel experience with his/her peers for the panels benefits.

Roles/Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Lead the EMEA panel recruitment strategy in association with the Panel Operations Director. Be accountable for staff, budget and all recruitment initiatives and ROI, including recruitment quality.
  • Build and maintain the existing EMEA panels. Define recruitment needs in regards to panel demographics and plan successful recruitment initiatives.
  • Build new panels as needed for Lightspeed Research (including new countries) or its clients within the EMEA region.
  • Support panel related initiatives from a panel recruitment perspective.
  • Think ahead and plan future developments. Prepare next steps for the business and the team in regards to panel recruitment.
  • Be an active member of the Panel Operations Senior team and contribute to the Panel Operations development and leadership.
  • Work with the Global Panel Operations team to identify the most effective global recruitment providers and develop best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and the implementation of recruitment technologies supporting and optimizing our recruitment campaigns (i.e. reporting, campaign management system…).

Budget

  • Accountable for the panel recruitment budget.
  • Attain positive budget variance while meeting recruiting targets.
  • Constant review of CPA and eCPA, cost/budget allocation and campaigns ROI.
  • Online Marketing & Campaign Management
  • Recognize new marketing opportunities and stay aware of trends in Online Marketing.
  • Creatively identify new acquisition opportunities to ensure continued panel growth. Including hard-to-reach target groups.
  • Manage current campaigns in EMEA, including affiliation, co-registration, SEO/SEM… Manage affiliation networks (external, internal) and affiliation campaigns.
  • Decide, implement and test new campaigns in order to reach budget and volume objectives. Decide and design new creative sets as appropriate in collaboration with the Graphic Designer EMEA.
  • In association with the Panel Insights Analyst, provide ROI metrics and review best performing recruitment partners and campaigns and prioritize best quality sources. Focus on the quality of the recruitment and the conversion from recruited panelists to respondents.

Staff Management

  • Lead and develop the Panel Recruitment team (2-3 people).
  • Prioritize workload and initiatives to meet the company’s objectives.
  • Vendors Relationships
  • Create proposals, negotiate terms, and sign agreements with recruiting partners and affiliates, including long term partnerships.
  • Coordinate and approve recruit supplier PO/billing/invoices to ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Ongoing review of Lightspeed Research partner network and its quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience in market research panel recruitment or media buying of 5 years, including team management and budget management
  • Good experience of affiliation and lead generation
  • Minimum education level is a 3-year University diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven track of records
  • Able to deal effectively with many different cultures and nationalities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages (especially Excel but also Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Experience in senior management and corporate strategy around panel recruitment
  • Strong interest for budget management

Additional Qualifications:

A European language would be a real plus (French, German, Spanish, Italian)

Reporting Line:

This position reports to the Panel Operations Director EMEA, while closely working with other Senior managers of the Panel Operations team.
