Lightspeed Research is part of the Kantar Group (www.kantar.com) and the information you provide at the Site may be viewed by Kantar Group companies for the purpose of identifying suitable candidates and to contact you with relevant opportunities.

The provision of personal information through this Site is subject to this Privacy Policy (“Policy”).

This Site is operated by Lightspeed Research in order to support the recruitment functions of Lightspeed Research and its subsidiaries and affiliates. In relevant parts, this Policy may refer to Lightspeed Research, its parent (Kantar), and its subsidiaries and affiliates collectively as “Lightspeed Research” or distinguish among them separately.

WHAT TYPES OF NFORMATION DOES THIS POLICY COVER?

This Policy covers any personal information you submit through this Site, including:

  • contact information
  • email address
  • educational information
  • CV, resume information

It would also include any other information you choose to provide as part of your application

We encourage you NOT to provide sensitive information as defined by your country’s laws which may include:

Should you submit such sensitive information, Lightspeed Research reserves the right not to consider your job application. However, you are encouraged to reapply with a new resume that does not include sensitive information.

If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/resume, it is your responsibility to obtain such third party’s consent prior to passing their personal information to us.

You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way.

How will the Personal Information Submitted be used?

The information that you submit on the Site will be stored (on servers) in the United States accessible to other relevant jurisdiction(s) if, for example, the position relates to one of Lightspeed Research’s affiliated entities outside of the United States.

Personal information submitted on this site will be reviewed and processed for the purposes below by employees, consultants and/or service providers of Lightspeed Research legal entities around the world. Please note that the laws regarding personal information in some of the jurisdictions involved may be less stringent than the laws of the country in which you reside. However, we require employees, consultants, and or/service providers who process personal information received on this site to abide by terms of this privacy policy.

for Lightspeed Research’s global recruitment functions and for related management and planning purposes.

Lightspeed Research will use the personal information you provide:

Personal information about you will be added to Lightspeed Research’s international candidate database and will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at Lightspeed Research. We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties nor sell or disclose information to list providers or other commercial data aggregators.

The provision of personal information on this Site is voluntary. Failure to provide sufficient information, however, may result in Lightspeed Research being unable to consider your employment application, or in case of being an existing Lightspeed Research employee, your subsequent promotion, transfer, or relocation.

Lightspeed Research maintains computer systems in data centers and locations centrally in the United States but also in various other countries throughout the world.

Lightspeed Research may collect, store, disclose or otherwise process your personal data in a manner that causes it to be transferred or accessed from computer systems owned or operated by or on behalf of Lightspeed Research throughout its global computer network.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Access to personal information about you will be limited to those Lightspeed Research employees or agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, managers, and/or their respective designees.

Lightspeed Research will not sell or rent personal information about you to third parties for marketing or other purpose that is different from recruitment management, without your explicit consent. We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Lightspeed Research with the operation of the Site (including Taleo Corporation of 575 Market Street, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA, which hosts the site and the candidate database, and is approved under the EU-US “Safe Harbor” program). Third parties who are permitted to process personal information received through this site will be required to protect personal information consistently with the terms of this Policy.

Lightspeed Research may also disclose personal information about you in order to:

  • 1. protect the legal rights, privacy or safety of Lightspeed Research or its employees, agents and contractors
  • 2. protect the safety and security of visitors to our web sites or other properties
  • 3. protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes

  • 5. permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain;

DATA RETENTION

We are required to retain information relating to candidates applying for jobs within the United States.

Personal information of candidates applying for jobs in other parts of the world will be retained in accordance with local law.

If personal information is no longer needed for a relevant business purpose, Lightspeed Research may remove it from its database, subject to Lightspeed Research’s data retention obligations and policies and any applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

Note that Lightspeed Research may delete personal information about you at any time (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information provided to us.

Your personal information shall be retained for a period no longer than three years from the date of rejection of your application.

USE OF COOKIES

Cookies are small files which are sent to your Web browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Their purpose is to help analyze web traffic. You may set your Web browser to notify you of cookie placement requests or to decline cookies completely. You can delete the files that contain cookies; those files are stored as part of your internet browser. Lightspeed Research does not use cookies on this site to track browser activities outside of this site.
