Respondent integrity is crucial to online data collection. As online market research continues to grow worldwide, the industry must address a very basic question: Is each online survey respondent a real person providing real background information?
Lightspeed RealRespondents — an industry-leading verification process — ensures our panels consist of real people providing real background data. We accomplish this through a series of real-time checkpoints that new panel registrants must pass while completing the panel registration survey. Registrants who fail any of the checks are unable to join our panels and cannot participate in surveys.

- Proxy Detection
Detect a proxy server used to mask the registrant’s true IP address and past fraudulent activity - IP GeoFencing
Locates the registrant’s country of origin through his/her IP address and determines their eligibility for registration based on country-specific rules - Postal Address Verification
Verify the registrant’s postal address and zip/postal codes against a current country-specific address directory - CAPTCHA
Prevent automated programs from joining our site through a challenge-response test - Email Address Verification
Query our database to ensure the email address is unique (all panelists must verify their email address through a double opt-in registration process)
