Jackie Blackler and Simon Buckley promoted to the roles of Managing Director, based out of London

LONDON (07 February 2019) – Today, Lightspeed announced two key internal staff promotions to lead its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business. Jackie Blackler and Simon Buckley have been named Managing Directors, both reporting to Caroline Frankum, Global Chief Executive Officer. With overall responsibility for operations, sales, marketing, leadership and development of Lightspeed across seven European offices, Blackler and Buckley will play key roles in meeting the company’s ambitious growth goals as well as continuing to build Lightspeed’s reputation as a global insights technology platform.

With 20 plus years of experience in the research industry, Blackler brings a holistic mix of client and agency-side experience to this new role. She joined the company in 2018 as Vice President of Client Services and immediately provided clients with the highest quality research services and ensured Lightspeed is the partner of choice. Prior to joining the company, she served as Global Account Director at Kantar and Global Media Director at Kantar Worldpanel.

Responsible for the overall success of Lightspeed’s transformational offer and sales initiatives across EMEA, Buckley has successfully identified market driven strategies and enhanced the organization’s class leading capabilities since joining the business in 2008. Buckley most recently served as Vice President, Client Development and had previously held roles in both Kantar Millward Brown and Kantar’s operations team, where he had a wide ranging set of responsibilities relating to servicing: global accounts, survey platforms, online tools, technical support, sampling and procurement.
