Lightspeed Opens First Office in Seoul to Better Support Korean Clients

Appoints Three New Team Members

Sydney, AU (April 11, 2018) – Lightspeed today announced the opening of their first local office in Seoul, Korea. As this area undergoes a digital transformation, Lightspeed’s on-the-ground support is designed to meet the increasing needs of local research clients.

Along with the office opening, Lightspeed recently made three key appointments:

Won Jung joins as Client Development Director with more than 18 years’ experience in the industry, including previous roles at TNS Korea and most recently in local boutique research agency, Idea Network. During his career, Won has worked with and delivered on a wide range of client needs and across a number of industries.

Songmi Kim and Miseon Lee join as Project Managers. Miseon brings 10 years’ experience from Nielsen Korea where she was a senior researcher with additional skills in online project management as well as overseas marketing. Songmi joins with five years industry practice in both fieldwork, including online domestic work and qualitative offline as well as broader research skills in data analysis and modelling.

This new Seoul-based team will bring a wealth of knowledge and local market capability to Lightspeed clients and will be supported by the existing Korean team based in Sydney. General Manager Siddhartha Dutta, will also now take on an expanded role and head up this team alongside South East Asia and India.
