Governmental recognition of Lightspeed’s commitment to family-friendly culture marks first market research agency to receive award

HONG KONG (15 January 2019) – The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region recently honoured Lightspeed as a family-friendly employer. This annual award, run by the Family Council, recognised Lightspeed for its demonstration of equality, inclusion, diversity and fairness as well as creating a culture that fosters positive behaviours.

The 2017/18 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme recognises local businesses who have made steps towards helping employees strike a balance between work and family responsibilities and encapsulate a family-friendly spirit. And, as Mr. Cheung, Chief Secretary for Administration, shared at the Awards ceremony, this “aims to raise the community’s awareness on family-friendly practices” as the Government seeks to pass a bill to extend statutory paternity leave. In addition, Lightspeed was amongst 592 companies acknowledged for breastfeeding support and was commended for their efforts in investing in and adopting facilitating measures to support employees.
