Nick Nyhan is Chairman of Lightspeed and Chief Digital Officer at Kantar, the data investment management arm of WPP.
He entered the WPP in 2005 as the co-founder CEO of Dynamic Logic, acquired by Kantar Millward Brown. In 2007, he helped launch Safecount, an innovative “green” data collection platform that serves the market research industry and increases user privacy controls. In 2009, Kantar tapped Nick to be the Chief Digital Officer for the group. Within WPP he launched the WPP Data Alliance which he led for 2 years.
Nick has been a featured speaker at many industry events including: WARC AdMap, Ad Age Data Conference, Cannes Data Innovation stage, m50 CMO conference, the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the Online Publishers Association, the Online Media Marketing Advertising Conferences (OMMA), The Association Promotions Presse Magazine (APPM) in France, the Wharton Business School, the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), UBS Investment Bank, US Bancorp Piper Jaffray Internet Summits, the Nikkei CrossMedia Conference in Japan and has been a lecturer at New York University’s Stern School of Business. His opinions on research and advertising have been published or quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, AdWeek, and Mediapost. He served on the Associate Board of the IAB, the Government Affairs Committee for the Council for Marketing Opinion Research (CMOR), and co-chaired the ARF’s Online Media Council.
